Now that I have the time to do the things I never had the time to, I’m gathering collections of photographs from my food photography to go on my portfolio. These collections I think are visually strong, show consistency on my style and are eye candy for potential new clients.
The first collection is entirely dedicated to Burgers. They’re not only one of my favourite comfort foods but definitely a trend in the food scene during the last couple of years here in the U.K. Hence the title BÜRGERLAND. Simple and to the point.
Burgers are relatively easy to photograph but quite hard to make them look good. It takes a bit of food styling skill to build them up without faking them at all. Obviously, I’m talking about real burgers, made from scratch with fresh ingredients, not that chain crap that looks amazing on pictures but like Gandhi’s flipflop at the table; If you know my work ethics, you know that I don’t shoot for chains.
